Harvick Win

Harvick Takes Stewart-Haas Racing Into the Cup Eliminator Round

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick and the No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet SS team dominated the Bank of America 500 race in Charlottesville, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 11, for their third win of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. This was a very important win – it automatically advanced the No. 4 team into the Eliminator Round, the last series of three races of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship.

“This was the night that we needed to win,” Harvick said. “I’m really proud of everybody at SHR. I’m really proud of all my guys on this team. I just can’t thank everybody enough.”

The Eliminator Round will eliminate four of the remaining eight Chase drivers, leaving the remaining four to battle in the final championship race in Homestead, Florida, on November 16. In preparation for the next three races that make up the Eliminator Round, Harvick’s focus is on Martinsville.

“I think we are on a pretty good path to having a clean slate as far as things have gone this season, so hopefully, we can make it through Martinsville, because I think that’s the one that’ll be the craziest,” Harvick said.

Tune in to ESPN this Sunday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m. EST, to catch Harvick, and the other SHR drivers, in the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
